What can we do to improve rates?

American Adademy of Pediatrics

^_^:
Invalid contraindications:
"There is no limit to the number of vaccines that can be administered safely and effectively on the same day."

^_^:
Giving Lots of Shots: Sites of immunization

"Give as many vaccines as needed at each visit—parents prefer it that way"

^_^:
:yikes:

^_^:
Oh, look . . . they haven't yet changed their Hep. A page:

^_^:
Premature birth: Immunize according to chronological age. For hepatitis B immunization for babies weighing less than 2,000 grams—immunize at birth but do not count this as dose 1. Count dose 1 as a dose administered at 1 month of age. Why bother giving it to them if it is not even going to count?

^_^:
The benefit of assessing at 19 months of age is that you are not taxing your resources to contact families who would bring their children in even without a reminder—the compliant ones. Compliant?? Bastards. I AM compliant, in keeping my child safe and healthy.

^_^:
:yeah: I was thinking the same thing regarding the premature-birth dose of HepB - why give it if they are going to get shot with an extra dose to make up for the first one? :irked:
