refusing bottle?
What would make a 2.5 month old refuse a bottle suddenly?
My dd is totally refusing a bottle - I was gone from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and she took 1 - 4 oz bottle during that entire time. And that one was only because gramma held the nipple outside her mouth and squirted the milk in.
She's not refusing the breast per say, but does tend to be popping on anf off more, and occasionally letting out these little shrieks while nursing.

I don't think it's that uncommon, really. She's starting to get more aware, and may realize that the bottle isn't really what she prefers. I've heard of this happening before. She may start reverse cycling, where she nurses a ton at night, but hardly eats at all during the day.
If you're worried about intake your mom could try spoon feeding her. Is she fussy during the day?
About the shrieks... does she seem in pain? I know reflux can cause fussiness while eating...

About the shrieks... does she seem in pain? I know reflux can cause fussiness while eating... She is very fussy during the day and hardly sleeps. If she still refuses the bottle tomorrow, then my mom will attempt to spoon feed her, or use a straw to feed her with {suck up a bit of milk & place on her tounge - we've done it before}
The shrieks do seem slightly painful - maybe gas I was thinking

She may have thrush. My one bottle fed baby had something similar happen and I didnt know what was wrong until a neighbor pointed it out. :(
