OMG, I dabbed some TTO on my baby's bites

Is this ok?! I didn't even think about it. I dabbed some undiluted TTO on my 8 mo's forehead. Will he be ok?

^_^:
Whats tto?

^_^:
treqi, tto is tea tree oil.
I wouldn't get in the habit of it, but I'm sure you haven't done any harm. One recent study linked tto and lavender oil to disruptions in estrogen (particularly noticable in young boys). As far as I know, though, the study has not been replicated and I'm personally not going to worry too much until there is more evidence suggesting I should.

^_^:
Goodness, I'm an idiot! I also put some lavender oil on him today. WTHeck! I feel horrible. I definitely will not be this careless again. I didn't put much on him but am looking for contraindications for any EOs I ever use. I feel HORRIBLE.:bawl

^_^:
I'm sure he'll be OK, mama. Don't beat yourself up :hug But I'd rethink putting undiluted EOs on anyone's skin. You should always use a carrier oil.

^_^:
I wouldn't worry too much, Our family uses diluted essential oils for various minor skin ailments. I did learn the hard way, though, that it is important to always begin with a tiny amount, heavily diluted, on a small area- my oldest dd developed a rash to a "healing" salve I had slathered all over her back. Oh, the guilt....
